Several years ago a lady contacted me and asked about a man. I recognized the name, a checkered past, and asked how closely she was related to him. She said she was not, she was doing some research for an adopted person. I asked how she got his name as bio father of the person. She said she found the person listed on the CABI with the surnames of the bio parents. I was surprised and did not check, but maybe that is still a viable way to find birth parents names. Thinking about it now, she must have used the birthdate for a search term. Another give away must have been this adopted person was a twin.
