    3. >From the news back then column. 28, February 1885 Saterday. < 20 yrs after the Civil War.> 1] A letter has been recieved by Hon W.J.TINNIN, from WILLIAM M. LOWE, ex- sheriff of Trinity. He is located now at Harwood, Vernon County, Missouri. He has a wife and 7 children, ranging in age from 25 yrs down to 5 yrs of age. All at home. He as a good farm of 280 acres, well stocked with horses, cattle, and hogs, and a fine orchard whch he set out with his own hands. He asks to be remembered kindly by his many friends here. 2] Roller skateing continues to be the crze in town and the mania is spreading. Douglas City also has it, and other towns are expected to fall into line with-out delay. A number of Weaver people attendedd the skating rink at Douglas City on Wednesday evening, and the compliment was returned Thursday evening, by a number of Douglas City residents. 3] In Hayfrok, Last Sunday night, the new barn belonging to DAVID E.V. BARKER was destroyed by fire, together with all it contained: 7 horses, harness, hay and other feed. There was no insurance on the property. 100 yrs ago. 26, February 1910 Saterday. 1] A new book typewritter has been installed in the County Clerk's office during the past week. 2] The Empire Hotel will change hands on 01, March, the manager of the same having been transferred from J.J.MURPHY to JOHN FOSTER and wife. 3] Miss LUCY YOUNG has accepted the position of local reporter for the Trinity Journal and we bepeak for her the courrrrrtesy of our friends in gathering news. Miss YOUNG was connected with the business department of the Reddingg Couriers-Free Press for several years. 4] Mrs MAY FEATHERSTONE of Sawyer's Bar, Siskiyou COunty, arrived SUnday night on an extended visit to her sister Mrs. KARL JUNKANS of this city. end~ ~Linda~ Willow Creek, CA.
