August Peterson and his wife are in the 1930 around the south county and had been in the years before that. The men in the family were mostly working in the lumber industry near the seaport, I think. The weird thing is August, born about 1860 is always spelled August...he was born in Sweden but his wife is Paulina/Pauline/Perlina/Pelina and she was born in Holland. Her name is never spelled the same way twice. I'm sure they are in Los Angeles County and I think they died 1930-1939. I had to let Vitalsearch lapse so am unable to access that index. Eureka, I think this is the man....many thanks to Betty, Cathy and everyone who helped fill in some gaps. I've thought before that Ancestry's CDI is full of holes, now I know it. Many things on Ancestry are BADLY transcribed - perhaps that is the case. I have made many corrections; once my correction needed further correction because it was not done right and I was UNable to make a second correction. I'm half tempted to unsubscribe for a year or two, then see if it has improved.
