I'm trying to find information about my great grandmother, Dena Erickson, widow of George Erickson who was murdered in Trinity County in 1886. She was born about 1861 in Wisconsin but don't know what her maiden name was. She and George had two children, Peter and Georgie. We're trying to find information about what happened to Dena between 1886 and 1894. We have information that George's estate was settled in 1887 but no idea how it was settled or if Dena received enough money to provide for herself and the children.
