I would like to be able to save a copy of the www.youtube.com video, San Francisco 1905, for my genealogy files since my ancestor died in SF in 1905; nine months before the 1906 Great Earthquake. I have looked at the various instructions on the Internet explaining how to burn a CD from such a video. >From reading the "how-to" instructions it would seem that it is possible to do so, although the process escapes my technological abilities. If there is anyone on the mail list who is savvy in this regard and can provide guidance in this pursuit I would welcome hearing from them. I do not know about potential copyright infringement issues but since the video is in the public domain this may not be a matter for concern. Perhaps there are others on the NORCAL list who share the same interest in saving the video for posterity... a real enhancement to one's SF family history research, ca. 1906.
