    3. The news back then.. 12, February, 1910 Saterday. 1] Chinese New Year opened last Tuesday. The Chinamen celebrated with fire crackers and bombs as usual and kept open house for their friends. 2] The weather for the past weel has been of the unusual early February variety. A warm rain Tuesday night has removed about all the snow around town. Rain for the week 0.88 inches; rainfall to date 25.70 inches, to same date last year 36.98 inches. 3] The Redding, Red Bluff and Anderson Posts, Grand Army of the Republic, will hold commemorative exercises in Redding on Lincoln's Birthday. The address of welcome will be made by Judge D.J.HALL, formally of this county. 4] On Saterday evening last week the boys of the Trinity County High School entertainedd the young lady students with a banquet at the home of Professor F.L. WHAFF. The boys proved themselves fine providers and entertainers and a very pleasant evening was passed. 75yrs ago 09, February 1935 Saterday. 1} Trinity Count High School and Weaverville Grammar School were closed Thursday on account of so many students being ill with Chicken pox's, Measles, Mumps and bad colds. 2] CLAUDIO MONTANA,(know in the 1960's as Senior MONTANA) has been sick at Dr. WILSON's hospital here is improving, but it will be some time before he will be up and around. 3] The Hayfork Grange gave another of their card parties last Saterday night. Prizes were won by Mrs. RAY BEALS, Miss JOSIE JACKSON, RAY HARRISON, and CHARLES EVEREST. 4] County Clerk LEONARD MORRIS and wife visited relatives in Lewiston, Tuesday evening. end. ~Linda~ Willow Creek, CA.
