Hi Sherrie, The Burney newspaper is called "The Intermountain News" - they put all their papers online, including archives. Here is their link - http://www.theimnews.com/ There is another paper in the area called the Mountain Echo. They are available online, but you have to pay a subscription fee. I have a sub & checked this week's (today's) & last week's issue, but didn't find Paul. Unfortunately, their links for past years are broken. They have a page for recent obits - http://www.mountainecho.com/obituaries.html If you don't find what you're looking for on the above sites, I can have the Redding paper sent up, but as stated below, it'd take a couple of weeks. For Florence's, I would need a definite death date, maybe from SSDI. BTW, Redding paper only publishes obits if the family pays for them, otherwise, there may be a death notice, which would only give you name, date & possibly the mortuary. The Burney mortuary is McDonald's Chapel - 530-335-2247 - they would probably have copies of any obits published & possibly more info. I'm sorry for your loss, Dee At 10:41 AM 2/15/2010, you wrote: >Dee, my uncle, Paul Gobin, just died Feb 6, 2010 in Burney. Where could I find his obituary? Also, his wife Florence died on Mothers day in May and I believe the year was 2006. I would also like to find her obituary, also in Burney. > > > Sherrie >In God we trust in America > > > >-----Original Message----- >From: Dee Sardoc <deesar@frontiernet.net> >To: norcal@rootsweb.com >Sent: Mon, Feb 15, 2010 10:28 am >Subject: Re: [NORCAL] obit please Snelson, Ramona > > >The online papers don't start until 1991, so I will have to have the film sent >p from Redding to Burney, which could take a week or 2.
