I want to thank everyone in advance for the help with this Loose Pennsylvania puzzle. Not actually NorCal, except me. I recently have been scanning photos from my Grandmother's album. There are several 4 generation photos taken in 1930. There is one couple that my Dad does not recognize by picture or name - I am trying to tie them in. Anyway, would someone look in the 1900 census, Berks PA, for Ervin Loose born about 1885? I just need to know his parents names - hopefully Walter B. Loose is his father. I can help with Sacramento lookups in return. Betty

Hi Betty, I can't get the image to come up in Ancestry...but the index does show Walter S. Loose as the father (age 43) and Lizzie Loose (age 50) as the mother. There is also a brother Nathaniel (age 19) and Ervin (age 15). When I can get the image to come up...I'll take a closer look. WWII registration shows birth date of Irvin to be 23 May 1885 and his wife is Bertha and he is the owner of Loose's Bakery 1900 census shows birthdate of Irwin to be May 1885 so I would surmise this is the same Irwin with his parents Walter Loose May 1857 Lizzie Loose Sep 1849 Nathaniel Loose Jan 1881 Ervin May 1885 I can send details if you think this is the correct ones. > Sherrie, Thank you so much. We now know who the mystery people in the 4 generation pictures are. Now I am going to research this bakery, as there was once a Loose- Wyles bakery that became, I think, Nabisco. Not sure if this is related. Betty
