    3. Hi Jim, I am wondering why you are looking for the Rice ranch. My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Rice and I am having a time finding anything on her father, Charles Frederick. Are we hunting down the same ally? By the way, your SF's Lost Landmarks was a big hit as a Christmas present. I thank you for it.     3. Hi Sandra, I'm not sure why it's called Rice Ranch. I know it didn't produce rice so it may be an earlier owner. In 1900, it was owned by Joseph Briggen.
