The name must have gotten messed up because I cannot find him listed in the CA Death Index and I haven't guessed at the right spelling.... Cathy Marin Co., CA To forget one's ancestors is to be a brook without a source, a tree without a root. ~Chinese proverb
Correction - Broadalbin is in Fulton County, New York - not Macomb as I stated earlier. Elvina, thank you. I searched for the cemetery, found it, with Charles Henry, his sister Dulcinea and his mother, Ida May, all buried there. This was a listing someone made from the cemetery - it is also on Find-A-Grave, but these three have not been added. The marriage is provable - familysearch.org has the license and certificate on line. That is part of what started my search. Too bad there is no date or newspaper that might have been printed in. He is confirmed buried in Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery which is apparently near the city limits of both Broadalbin and Mayfield in Macomb County, Michigan. According to his burial record in New York (he was removed to New York for burial) Charles Henry HATZENBUHLER died in Stockton, San Joaquin Co., CA 05 June 1939. I am having no luck confirming this death. There is a marriage record Charles Henry Hatzenbuhler/Henrietta E. BRUNS 07 June 1933 in Stockton (familysearch.org). Confirmation of the death is what I am searching for. Okay, I can't take the credit for this information except knowing where to look. All I did was go to Ancestry.com, put in his name and then went to Family Trees. I suggest you contact the person who posted the family tree and get her sources. Always use caution when getting information off the Internet especially family trees. She has posted the marriage notice found in the newspaper also. Good luck. If I can be of further help please let me know. You may also want to go to Find A Grave and request a photo of his headstone. I can help you with that also, just let me know. I knew a family of Hasenbuhlers in Stockton, Charles and Thomas. One married a friend from high school. It was never said but the father in the family I assumed was dead. The mother was around but I don't remember her name. This might have been the grandfather. I don't have contact with the family any longer but last time I checked they still lived there. So the spelling has probably evolved. According to his burial in Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery in New York, Charles Henry HARTZENBUHLER died 05 June 1939 in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California. I have found no record of this death and wonder if someone can find information regarding him. There is a marriage record for Charles Henry Hartzenbuhler and Henrietta Bruns in Stockton 07 June 1933. Any help would be appreciated. Flavia Hodges
