    3. Here is the link to the court's site: http://sfsuperiorcourt.org/index.aspx?page=1 Than go to "Online Services". Usually a case that old won't be online and the procedure is to order the microfilm, which can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks, and you will have to look at it at the courthouse. Most courts don't charge for this, but I'm not sure about San Francisco. I just saw Margie's reply and agree with her. If you write to them and you really just need the name of the defendants, that would be the face page(s) called the Court and Cause page(s) and I suspect with that many defendants, that could be slightly lengthy. What is the actual name of the case and the case number? Is this the case: http://law.justia.com/cases/california/calapp2d/47/235.html Denna v. Red River Lumber Co.) Good luck! 3. I thought the most memorable would be "Snap, Crackle and Pop" - on French cereal boxes in 1968 it said "Pif, Paf and Pof." It also gave instruction for using the cereal on the side of the box. It said to pour in the milk and the picture showed someone putting a spoonful of sugar on the cereal in the bowl - the next picture showed the milk being poured and the instructions were to put in a spoonful or two of sugar............. 3. Tim, I was told (several years back now) that I would have to come in person - they wanted my signature they said - but you might try writing to them. Especially as you have the details they require - especially the name, date and the case number. They charge for copies by the number of pages. I looked through the case I needed and chose the specific pages I wanted them to copy as some pages were duplicates and I didn't need duplicates of a page, especially at $1.00 a page. It MIGHT work. 1. [NORCAL] Anyone know where to find early Anderson HS Yearbooks?
    2. Margie
    3. Does anyone know where I can find the yearbooks for Anderson High School, Shasta County? I am especially interested in the years 1923-24 since those are the years that these yearbooks are missing at the high school. The High School has some of the yearbooks from 1915-27 but not all of them. My Hinton family lived in Anderson from 1917 and several of my aunts and uncles (and my father) attended high school during the period of 1917 into the 1920s. Several years ago I was contacted by someone at the high school who graciously sent me pages from a few of the yearbooks relating to my father, Herbert Hinton. Now we are preparing a booklet to present to my father's youngest brother who will be turning 100 next year and we would like to have as much of the high school information as we can locate. Any help out there? Thanks so much. Margie Hinton

Visit: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ Click on "Search All Archiver Listings" Click the Advanced tab Enter NORCAL as the list Enter 1998 as the year (or whatever) Enter "terms" (without the quotes) into the Body box Search. 3. Hi Linda, Thanks! I assume you're referring to the NORCAL VOLUNTEER LOOKUP LIBRARY. FYI, the library was created in April 1998 (it's 14 years old!) and is a compilation of many researchers and generous lookup volunteers, many on the library since it was created. Glad you found it helpful! Yvonne ps - Thanks, too, for the compliment on the layout. It was actually created back in the Dark Ages on Claris Home Page and has been transferred over the years finally ending up on Adobe Dreamweaver. I think it's a little clunky but I don't want to redo the whole thing. Nice to hear it's still usable and appealing. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Yvonne Bowers Listmom, Webmom NORCAL, SOCAL http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/norcallib.html On May 3, 2012, at 12:00 AM, [email protected] wrote: > Message: 2 > Date: Wed, 02 May 2012 14:46:57 GMT > From: "hum.linda" <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [NORCAL] NORCAL Digest, Vol 7, Issue 131 > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" > > Yvonne, > Your new site and link are great looking. 3. Kat, Most of those census were destroyed by fire, very few records remain, you'll have to find other resources to search. Sounds like your boy may have been at sea when census were taken, so no records would have been recorded. The Stmr. Co. employees records would show where and when he was at sea. 2. Susan Stuart
    3. Paul, Thanks for your story and thoughts. Mt. Tam Cemetery is very large (65 acres) and I was surprised to hear and read about their staff size. Lafayette Cemetery is a quite small public pioneer cemetery, and is run by the Alamo-Lafayette Cemetery District in conjunction with the Lafayette Historical Society. We initially called the cemetery office who gave us this silly $65/hour figure to research plot info, and have since emailed back and forth with the Historical Society, who assured us that somebody would get back to us, but no one has. Your suggestion to show up at the office is a good one and what we should have done in the first place! It's only a few minutes from home. Thanks. We'll probably do that tomorrow. I also take photos at a couple of other cemeteries in this area, and one is comparable to Mt. Tam (67 acres). They, too, have a small staff, but their records are on computer and they always respond to me fairly promptly with the plot info. Maybe Mt. Tam just hasn't caught up with the times! In any event, I'm glad you got your photos! Thanks again.
