Hi Margit - Yes, those were my great great grandparents and my great grandmother. I never would have looked for them with that spelling. I have much to learn about Norwegian genealogy. I looked at my records about emigration to America and this is what I found. Ellen's obituary states she and the family came to the United States in 1869, going to Wisconsin for one year then on to South Dakota. No towns were mentioned. Christian's obituary states he and the family came to America in 1869, living first in Wisconsin and then on to South Dakota. Maria's obituary says she came to America with her family in 1866. Her sister Hanna's obituary says she came to America with her family in 1864. Again, thank you for your help. Mary Ann
Hi Mary Ann, I will give you one hint, when you reply to an email, leave part of the original email with it. I help many every day and forget who and what I help. :-)) Did they have more children in South Dakota? Those birth records are online here before 1900 if so: <http://www.state.sd.us/applications/ph14over100birthrec/index.asp> Margit > Hi Margit - > Yes, those were my great great grandparents and my great grandmother.
