It will take you to a new page here: <http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=EMITR OND&spraak=e&metanr=1398> Where it says "Record Type" in a little box on the left at the top, click on it and hold your mouse down, a pop up menu will appear. Scroll down until you hit "Given Name" and then let go. The next box over says "equals". Click on that and hold your mouse down and you will get more choices. Scroll down to "Starting With" and let go. The next box to the right is blank and you can type in it. Type And and hit search. You will get a new page. On that page will be a column of names starting with And. Click on the first one and hold down the shift key and scroll down and all names should be highlighted in blue, right down to the last name which is Andus. Then hit the "Finn Postane" button. You will get a new page. On that new page, it will look like the first page you were on, only it has all the people who's first name starts with the first three letters And, which is 4,924. Now we know that it is a male we are looking for, so we will in the first box that you click again on the left, choose sex and let go. Then in the next box, click on it and choose show all and leave the box you can type in blank and hit search. You will get a new page. On that new page it will say 199 k (which is female) and 4,725 M (which is male). Highlight the 4,725 m and hit Finn Postane (search) on the bottom. You will get a new page. On this new page, in the left box, click on it and choose last name and let go. On the box to the right of it choose starting with and let go. Then in the blank box, type Henning and hit search. You will get a new page. On this page are only two choices. I know that he was Henning's son and that he came from the Stuedal Gård. So I know which one to pick. Highlight his name, and click Finn Postane (search) and you will get a new page that will tell you all about his leaving. This was my ggrandmother's brother.
