Dear Peter, I read your note and wonder if you help with my research on my family from Ringebu. My great-great grandfather was the first person to leave Ringebu for America in 1845. In "Ministerialbok for Ringebu" ( how is this book different than your kirkeboker?) on page 165 #12 is Gulbrand Engebretsen Tullien, 26, 29de April 1845 to Amerika- my great great grandfather. I was in Ringebu this summer and was told that Gulbrand had several brothers and sisters follow him to the US. I would love help in tracking them and also with finding out more about Gulbrand's parents, Engebret Gulbrandsen (b.1796) and Marit Syversdatter Hilstadatter (b.1796). Do you read Norweign? I am really having problems with the language. If I can help with my two Ministerialbok for Ringebu 1842-1849 and 1696-1734 let me know.
