These are my current interests in Oppland. I am trying to determine the birth date of an Oline Hansdtr my ggrandmother. She married Peder Olsen of Jørandlien, Land, Oppland (Kristian amt) 31 Jan 1847 in the Aamodt (Torpen) Kirke. The church record gives her age as 24 (b. 1823?) and her father as Hans Hansen) They had the children Ole (b. 1848), Hans (b. 1851 d. 1861), Andreas (b. 1854), Martin (b. 1857) all on the same farm (aka Jørdalan et al). Two additional children Anton (b. 1861) (my grandfather) and Helene (b. 1864) on Bjerke, Torpen, Land, Oppland. Peder Olsen died 9 Mar 1865 on Bjerke farm. In the 1865 census, Oline (age 40, b. 1826? in Lands Prgj.) appears at Hellerud farm Torpen, Land, Oppland as a lodger and day worker with the 2 youngest children. Ole (age 18) is a servant at Jøranlien, Torpen, Land, Oppland; Andres (age 12) is charity at Bjærke, Torpen, Land, Oppland; Martin (age 9) is charity at Fosum lille, Torpen, Land, Oppland. In the 1875 census, Oline (b. 1823 in WARDAL (Vardal)) is a servant at Frøsland, Nordre Land, Oppland. Ole is married to Randi Hansdtr with children at Bækkesveen, Nordre Land. Andreas is a servant at Jørandlidhaugen, Nordre Land. Martin is a servant at Jørandlien Sønd, Nordre Land. Anton is a servant at Lunde, Nordre Land. Hellene is a servant at Grøtaasen. As I said, I am looking for the birth of Oline Hansdtr probably in 1823 but could be as late as 1826. I was Unable to find Oline in the Torpen, Land, Oppland (Kristian amt) church books for the time with Hans Hansen as father. I have checked those for Vardal (Wardal), Oppland (Kristian) around 1823 and could not find an Oline whose father was Hans Hansen (as the marriage record indicates). Possibly there is information on the farm that could assist in my search. From the marriage record it appears that Oline was possibly a servant on the farm before the marriage to Peder Olsen. Peder is the descendant in a line that has been on the farm for quite awhile. I have different spellings of the farm name including Gjørdalen, Jordalien, etc. Some of these farms amy not be correct and I am confusing similarly named farms, I thought I had Peder Olsen's lineage correct but I may have crossed into different farms. The farm Jørdalien is in Torpen (Torpa, Aamodt), Land, Kristian amt (Oppland). Possibly the Bjerke farm might have information as well. Thank you if you can be of any help in this search.
