How nice to know that there is an Oppland List! Thanks. Four of my eight great grandparents came from Oppland, two from the North Aurdal area (Aurdal Kirke and Skrautval Kirke), one from Vestre Toten (Aas Kirke), and one from Gran Hadeland (Nes Kirke). My research in these areas has been a delight. However I do have a question - the Nes Kirkebok shows my ancestors from the Bålerud farm (Anna Pedersdatter Bålerud, a widow, and her seven children) leaving for American on May 27, 1881. I have never been able to locate a ship's passenger list for this family, even after much searching. Any suggestions from other listers???? Thank you! Carol
