I could go on and on but two sites two check out if you are interested in this area are: RINGEBU slekter, and ANCESTORS FROM OYER. They belong to Tor Onshus and the other name slips me right now. Hi everyone I'm trying to research both sides of my Norwegian Dad. My paternal g-gmother was Rena Brimi in Eau Claire, but in the Brimi, Lom, Oppland farm records from the digitalarkivet she is Ronnoug Ellefsdatter. Her brother, Syver(Sever) Brimi became a successful businessman in Eau Claire. In 1883 she married Mathias Andersen in Eau Claire. Mathias is the mystery. I don't know anything about him. I don't know if there is a census for Eau Claire . I would appreciate any help. Hei Barbara, Where exactly were they living in 1920 and 1930? What were the names of their children? I have access to those census with indexes and more with exact location. There also should be directories online for that time period. Birthdates help also for searching. Where did they die? Do you have copies of their obits or death certificates?
