Yes, Joan, I surely do understand...the name changes are so confusing...don't know why mine chose Dahl really...They were Christianson/Christiansen and Christiansdr in Norway on the particular generation that came here. And the mother and some of the youngest of the 8 brothers that lived moved to North Dakota, Valley City area. The father and some of older sons born in Norway settled in Monona Co., IA. and all chose to go by Dahl name. Keeps us working and sleuthing to find them! Good luck. Pat
