My great grandmother immigrated from Oppland County, Norway in 1903. She returned in 1930 to visit her parents. I found a receipt for her 1930 trip along with her passport. I see that she spent $205 for the trip. She was traveling 3rd class. That seems like a lot of money for 1930 - especially since this was during the Depression. Does anyone have any idea what that would be equivalent to today?
