    2. Joan, Just wondering if you are a part of the Dahl family of mine, or may connect? Or are you searching for another surname? My Dahl line did come from Oslo area but not with the name until coming into America. Are you in the Andrew Dahl lineage of which came into Wisconsin and then some went Minnesota and North Dakota and some to Iowa? If so, I may be able to help. Pat (now in Kansas)

    3. Pat, It seems as though my husband's grandfather used the name Dahl after he immigrated from the Trondheim area. I have not been able to find any other line in the U.S. that are related. Apparently, he was the only one in the family that chose to use the name Dahl! People back then played so fast and loose with names that it becomes difficult to trace them. Thanks for your interest. 3. My husband's grandmother came from Brodal under Sjetne in Sor Trondelag. Her uncle used the name Johan Dahl in ND. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joan Dahl" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 02, 2006 4:49 PM Subject: Re: [Opp] (no subject) > Pat, > It seems as though my husband's grandfather used the name Dahl after he > immigrated from the Trondheim area.
