He emigrated to the US and died in Fish Creek Ridge, Rockland Co, WI in 1903. Many of his descendants are carrying the Kirkeeng name in the US today. One of my relatives married his grandson Melvin Kirkeeng and descendants are living in Las Vegas, NV and in Oregon.
