    3. Bette, there is a group of Smedshammer and Kjos family (thousands) who have put together a book, named The Red Book, of all the family members, I belive it is on its 3-4th edition. I have lost contact with the lady I knew on the net, but she is a member of the Hadeland Lag. I hope you can find her.     3. Hi Karen, Yes, I have the Kjos-Eggebratten book and my name is in there. My grandmother Clara Amundsen Johnson was a Kjos on her Dad's side and a Egge on her Mothers. As I trace my maternal side back in time, it ends on the Smedshammer farm, though I have been trying to get back further. I like your web site and am studying it out-- great work! I wish mine was so well organized.
