There is Gudbrandsdalen which runs from Lillehammer north to Dombås (some stretch it as far as to the river which starts at Lesjaskogsvatnet), then there are a number of other valleys which are connected to the Gudbrandsdalen valley, Heidal being one of them. Although the shown links in Wiki could be used as a starting point for something, I would suggest that you do not base your understanding of Norwegian geography on the information there. John Morten

    3. Dear John Morten, I am from Heidal and I am from Gudbrandsdalen, too. The 4 side valleys are always considered to be a part of Gudbrandsdalen.
