Hello, Have you contacted city hall at Lanesboro to see who is the local historian ? It is a very small town. I see by typing in Lanesboro MN in "google" that there are many web sites on the town. It is known for being a favorite of Minnesotans who like to bike ride on the Root River Trails. Beautiful scenery in that area of Mn. There is a Lanesboro museum .Many parents ride the trials with their children. The Root River Valley is a wonderful area of Minnesota with the Root River running through the town of Lanesboro.
