May 10, 1851. She married Aslak Haug of the neighboring Haug farm and they immigrated to New Ulm, MN in 1878. The Hestekind farm passed on to her brother Kristian Olsen Hestekind, then to his son Syver Kristian Hestekind. He had a son who only lived about a year 1938-1939. He then left the Hestekind farm to a foster son Svein Arve Hestekind. My blood line stops there, but the farm name continued. Karen and Aslak Haug settled in Lyon County, MN and then spent the remainder of their years in Marshall County, SD. Do you think we can make a connection? I am anxious to hear from you.
