Living on the VOLDEN farm are: Ole MORTHENSEN, 36 (1830) Olia OLSDATTER, 29 (1836) Mathia OLSDATTER, 7 (1859) Andrias OLSEN, 5 (1861) Sigvart OLSEN, 1 (1865) *(all born in Gausdal) In the 1875-telling, the family appears on NORDLIEN (plads) in Gausdal. Dad's patronymic is now spelled MORTENSEN. Mathia is not present and they have since had two more children: Marthe OLSDATTER (1868) Ingval OLSEN (1871) *(here, everyone's birth place is identified as Gausdal, Hovedsognet) In "Emigranter over Kristiania 1871-1930" I found a SIGVARD OLSEN, 19, emigrating on 06 April 1883 (NOT 1885 - did he stop elsewhere? or could the 3 and 5 be confused on the immigration papers?), from Gausdal, destination of GRANITE FALLS. Based on your comments, I would GUESS this is the one in Minnesota - Granite Falls Township, Chippewa County (others are in North Carolina and Washington state). OR I have the wrong person here........ I searched for Sigvart's emigration from Gausdal (Østre Gausdal) 1882 - 1886, but came up empty. What is your source that puts him at Lunde-eiet, Follebu, Gausdal in 1882??? I, too, am not able to find him entering the USA. Don't know that I've helped much here... someone with access to ANCESTRY may be better placed to help. Have a nice day!
