Birth date(s) / marriage date(s) / emigration date(s) / etc. There are records available, but it also depends on WHEN they arrived. Most records after 1930 are not yet available (census, that is). There is the Social Security Death Index, as well as some individual states having various 'vital statistic / records' available. Those with access to Ancestry.com will have a great advantage in searching for your people. Have a nice day!
