    1. [Opp] Translation in Gran Parish in 1865 Census
    2. On the Farm named Braenden is two women named Inger and Kari Hansdatter, who I believe might be sisters. They are age 38 and 30 respectively. What I would like to know is what each person has listed in their lines. Kari might be my Second Great Grandmother but I am waiting for the Parish Record to go online. Was not successful in finding her Confirmation record that matched my birthdate of September 13, 1837, but did find one for October 1, 1836 from a place called Baalerud, father Hans Andersen, but will not know I see her Birth Record. Thanks for your time, Jeff ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. Jeff, This must be the confirmation record you refer to - Kari Hansdatter, born 01 October 1836, parents Hans Andersen and Ingeborg Johnsdatter. Oppland county, Gran, Parish register (official) nr. 11 (1842-1856), Confirmation records 1851, page 736-737, entry #83 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=8968&idx_id=8968&uid=ny&idx_side=-340 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20070206610160.jpg It is a good possibility that this is your Kari... Regarding the 1865-telling, she was listed as 30 years old (on her next birthday). Because the census was enumerated at the end of the year, she would be 30 in 1866, putting her birth year at 1836. The next Kari Hansdatter I find is born 25 July 1839, living on ?Vieneie under Sorumseie?, parents are Hans Hansen and Mari Caspersdatter. Oppland county, Gran, Parish register (official) nr. 11 (1842-1856), Confirmation records 1855, page 766-767, entry #61 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=8968&idx_id=8968&uid=ny&idx_side=-355 http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20070206610175.jpg What is your source of information for a 13 September 1837 birth date? What details do you have surrounding your g-g-grandmother? The more you can tell us, the better our chances of helping you. Have a nice day!
