Roy admitted he gave wrong information. Therefore all the work here on this list and on:http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.scan-balt.norway.counties.finnmark/155/mb.ashx So he has continually asked the same questions and has gotten the same answers. So had he done all his homework in the USA, then told everything he knew about whomever first came to America, then he perhaps would have had a better chance of being helped immediately. As you see, there are many of us who have tried to help Roy, not only on this Message Board, but on the Oppland Mailing List. Helge, who lives very close to Våga, Norway has been trying to help him on the Oppland List. LiOlsen (Litta) told him earlier that she was doing research on the same family and he should contact her. When we all work together around the world, we can help many with their research requests. Earlier on this message board, I was the one who replied to Roy about researching his family in the USA and giving ALL information when you make your original inquiry. DebGourley did not answer. She has logged into Ancestry on my computer and the computer for some reason chose her name rather then mine when I, Margit replied.
