I'm a newcomer to this, but I'm trying to verify the ancestry of Anton A Skaaden, b 1864 in Norway, d 1944 in Roslyn, SD USA. I might have found Ole Ostensen Skaaden and Kari Johannesdatler Ilstad as his parents, but I'm not sure I'm on the right track. I also remembering (as a child) that the surname was Andresen and it was changed to Skaaden (after a farm) during immigration. Any hints would be helpful. Thank you and God bless!
