Mispellings are easy to understand, but I've just had a hard time wrapping my head around how the census taker could get that birth year so very, very wrong. I'm not saying it's out of the question in any way, just that it's surprising to me. You're absolutely right about Andreas' birth record -- it sure does look to be line 42 of http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20070603680665.jpg . I wish I could read the flowery script better. I'll update my records to accept the new dates on Iver and Berthe -- thank you for your help.
