It says his father's name is Syver Knudsen Vistedkleven, but it doesn't say his mother's name. Syver Knudsen Vistedkleven married Marit Jacobsdatter 11 Nov. 1841. But this is almost a year after Syver Syversen's birth? Maybe? If the Minnesota birthdate is correct, although it was given to the recorder by his son-in-law. Dear Taryn, As you know I am familiar with the places Heidal (Hedalen) and Vågå (Vaage), and Ingeborg = Imbjør Harlaugseie/Harlouglien was my greatgrandmother's first cousin. I cannot find Syver Syversen baptized in Oppland arkiv or in scanned church records. But at the baptism of their oldest son John Syverseb 1864, I do find Syver Visteeie (=Vistekeiven) and Imbjor Harlougseie to be his parents. Maybe Syver Syversen was not born in Vaage ?
