Klokkerbok shows her to be 22, from Valle. Ministerialbok shows her to be 23 and from Walle. Is one book to be taken over the other? Have found Valle and Walle farms both in Ostre Toten so could be from either. Maren & Ole lived at Myhre-eie, Biri, Oppland where first 3 children were born, Sigrid, Peder, and Marthe. 1832 parish records show family leaving Biri going to Faaberg. They lived at Lexhus-eie and 3 more children were born, Hans,Oline and Halvor who is my direct line. Have found some information on other siblings but the father, Ole have found nothing more. Maren next shows up on Halvor's confirmation at Fluberg Church in Oct. 1850 living at Gjeflein Sondre Land, father just states Ole. Have not been able to find them leaving a parish or entering. Have not been able to find death records for Ole or Maren. 1865 census show a Maren Halvorsdtr born in Land living at Carlsborg in Sondre Land aged in her 60's. Possibly her??? Checked birth records for Toten and Land I found a Maren Halvorsdtr born Feb 22, 1801 in Land but how do I know if correct person and year would make her 24 at time of marriage. Again looked for her leaving Land going to Toten, no luck. Found this Maren's confirmation record Sept. 1814 in Land living at Ovre Skiaker. Parents match birth record. The strange part is... Maren & Ole's son, Halvor (my gr.gr grandfather lived at Skiaker. His marriage record of 1862 shows him living there and the 1865 census show his family living at Jonstuen which was a cottagers farm on Ovre Skiaker. Family left from here to America in 1867. So did Maren start out at Ovre Skiaker, move to Toten, get married there, moved to Biri, Faaberg, and finally S. Land? Or was this a different Maren and just a big coincidence that her son lived at Skiaker??? Thank you for any help, information or direction that any one has for me before I just have to give up on knowing for certain!
