In 1801 they were servants at the main farms Heringstad and Bjølstad. They were not born there, but at cotter's farm (husmannsbruk = subfarms). I have sent two answers, but they have not been returned to me. In Kleiven and my friend Teigum's books there is no information. I was born and raised in the Heringstadeie area. Remark the ending eie which means a tentant farm/ subfarm of Heringstad. I do knot know why Bjolstad or Bolstad is considered ? Poul Olsen Heringstadeie was born 5th October 1823.
