The oldest family member was my 4th great grandfather Hans Halvorsen-Bjornerud (1781-1867). His oldest son Ole Hansen-Bjornerud (1805-1889) was my 3rd great grandfather. Ole's oldest son Hans Olsen-Bjornerud (1839-?) was my 2nd great grandfather. My 5th great grandparents came into possession of this farm when my 5th great grandmother Marte Nielsdatter-Schattum married Johan Michelsen-Bjornerud in 1764. The I Gammle Daga volume by historian Ivar Kleiven is also community history. I think that you will have consult the digitarkivet digitalized church book pages for the Vågå parish to find more information about these two sisters. I try to explain that Bolstad and Bjølstad are two different farms. Bolstad is not in Heidal, but in another area of Vågå. The distance between them is 10 miles.
