I was surfing the Internet and came across the following website: "http://angelar.com/~jeremy/bjuge/" QUOTE: Anette Bjuge was one of Carl's sisters. She was born March 17th, 1879, fourteen years after Carl, and her death certificate lists her father as Andreas Eversen Bjuge (though the Norwegian census at this site lists Andreas' middle initial as I, so it is probable that the coroner mispelled her father's middle name), and her mother as Eline Marie Gulbranson. Her occupation is listed as Cook, for a private home, and she passed on July 5th, 1940. UNQUOTE This takes our search to AKER, AKERSHUS, where we find them in the 1865 census, with two children CARL BERGTHOR and INGEBORG JOHANNE, and Andreas' mother BERTHE BAARDSDATTER BJUGE: "http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=6&filnamn=f60218a&gardpostnr=629&sokefelt=skjul" This DOES show that Eline was born in BIRI. She is 25 years old here, so she was born about 1840-41. I STILL cannot find their marriage - in Biri or Aker..... I also looked for the births of their two children Carl and Ingeborg, and came up empty........ Have a nice day! His father was Iver Engebretsen Bjuge, no date available. Mother was Berthe Baardsdatter, born 1804 in Biri. Familysearch.org indicates that Andreas Iversen was born 18 October 1821. I do not find him in the Biri churchbook, at arkivverket.no, however. Are there additional books which have not been scanned? I believe Iver Berthe had two additional siblings: Eline Iversdatter (Iversen according to familysearch.org) Bjuge (I've found her in the biri churchbook, and familysearch.org(21 OCT 1824 -- as confirmed by the churchbook of biri for births, 1824 ) Karl (kari?) Iversen Bjuge (born 4 APR 1819 -- I could not find him (her?) in the scanned churchbook, but I did find reference in familysearch.org ) I'm looking to see if Andreas Iversen had any more siblings, for what happened to the two I've listed, and to see if I can get any additional information on Iver Engebretsen(?) and Berthe Baardsdatter Andreas Iversen Bjuge married Eline Marie Gulbrandsen/Gulbrandsdatter, born in Biri, 1840. I did find Anna Munson aboard the Taormina in 1892, I do not believe that she is the right anna Munson that I have been looking for. This person came to the US with her whole family, my grandmother came over either alone or with a sister. I do not know her Father's name or I would try to find him, I do know that he did come to the US after she was already here. I found that it seems she traveled with a family, so now I am not so sure that I even have the right person.
