Author: BobbyHono Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.scan-balt.norway.counties.oppland/3336/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Eline (AKA Helene) Olsdatter, my GGGM, born August 21, 1819, wife to Hans Hansen and last found on the 1875 Norwegian census in domicile Bakke (gaard) in Ostre Gausdal did not emigrate to the USA in October of 1895 with her husband, child Christian and his family one of which was my two year old grandmother Christine. Hans was found in a North Dakota, USA census as widowed. The entire family is listed on Ellis Island immigrant records as having come from Gausdal. So, I'm assuming Eline passed away in Gausdal, Oppland, Norway between 1875 and 1895. Can't locate parish records for that period on the Digitalarkivet. Can anyone please help me locate her? I would love to find a record of her death and where she is buried as well as a photo of her cemetery headstone for my family records. Thank you. Bobby Hanson, West Salem, Wisconsin, USA.
