Mary Agnes McDonald/ McDonnell Patrick J. Nolan was born circa 1865-8. His wife, Mary Agnes was born circa 1873-6. Both born near Ballinsloe, Co. Galway, Ireland. Patrick J. Nolan (son of Thomas Nolan and Bridget Martin) worked as a teamster driving a brewery wagon in Boston. He was married to Mary A. McDonald (daughter of James McDonald/McDonnell and Margaret Cooney) in abt. 1897 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Belvidere St. Boston, MA. I have records of the family from the 1920 and 1930 Census. Also, see descriptions of children below. Their Children were: 1. Thomas 2. Catherine C. b.1901 3. Margaret E. b.1902 4. John 5. James Joseph b.1910 6. Helen (died in infancy) 7. Annie (died in infancy) 8. Mary (died in infancy) ----------------------------------- 1. Thomas Nolan lived in Dorchester and was married to Helen and had three daughters; Patricia, Elaine, and Dorothy. He worked at the Fishing Pier in Boston. The family later moved to Rockland, MA. 2. Catherine C. ‘Kit” Nolan was born in 1901. She was a telephone operator and lived in Boston. Kit was a WAC during WWII and lived in New York City at that time. She lived to be 100 and passed away in 2001. 3. Margaret E. Nolan was born in 1902. She worked as a telephone operator and lived in Boston. She died in 1949. 4. John Nolan lived in Boston. He did not have any children. 5. James J. Nolan was born December 7th, 1910. He worked for the Naval Ammunition Depot and held several positions in Naval offices around the Boston area. He married Mary T. Dennehy in 1941 and they had 3 children, James Joseph Jr., Regina Ann, and William Francis Nolan.
