Both were natives of Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Reportedly Thurles specifically. They immigrated to New York seperately and migrated to Will County, Illinois where they reportedly married in Lockport about 1855. Raised their family in Peotone township until sometime after the death of Ann. John died in Cook county, Ill. Surviving children were Mary Ann Jeanett, Nanno Elizabeth Isley, and Margaret "Maggie" Andrew.
