    2. Joyce Ann Vice Nolen, 56, of Paris Crossing died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg. The funeral was 11 a.m. Friday at Adams Funeral home in Crothersville with the Rev. Marvin W. McIntosh officiating. Burial was at Cana Cemetery. Mrs. Nolen was retired from Cummins Inc. in Columbus, where she worked for 29 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Born in Fleming County, Kentucky, Feb. 28, 1946, she was the daughter of Ruby Emmons Vice of Poplar Plains, Ky., and the late Charles “Chuck” Vice. She married Ben Nolen in May 1971. He survives. Surviving with her husband and mother are three stepchildren, Danny Nolen, Stevie Nolen and Linda Engleking of Paris Crossing; seven brothers, Larry Vice of Maryland, Bill, Randy, Marty, Doug and Tommy Vice of Poplar Plains, and Terry Vice of Flemingsburg, Ky.; five sisters, Betty Long of Alabama, Janie Parker of New Carlisle, Ohio, Joan Story of Maysville, Ky., Donna Vice of Cincinnati and Linda Johnson of Georgetown, Ky.; eight stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cana Cemetery.
