Born 1842 in Ireland, possibly County Cork. Immigrated with or after two unnamed older sisters to New Orleans in around 1854. One sister married Peter Rome who owned land on the lake. Settled in the deep delta of Plaquemines Parish at Diamond, La., where he married Carmolite Treadaway. Father of Thomas Andrew Nolan, Jr., born 1872. Thomas, Sr. died 1924.
