Margaret: I have been successful in finding the exact death date (or at least the burial date) by calling around to the cemetaries where the person I am looking for lived. For example, what religion was she? What you will find is that if she was Catholic, most of the Catholics were buried in the same cemetary. The cemetaries keep pretty good records, and they will tell you if they have her there, and what date she was buried. One word of caution, though--women are always listed by their married name, so if you ask for her with her maiden name, they cannot find her. This would mean she passed away sometime between 1920 & 1930. However, I have not been able to narrow it down any further than that. > > I am having my son look through microfilm of newspapers between those years -- but that is going to be a time consuming process. > > Was trying to find someone who might be able to provide some assistance to narrow down the years. > > > > > ==== NOLAN Mailing List ==== > Smile and the world smiles with you. > > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
