    3. We've only had ONE message (other than me) in four years so I won't be replacing the list unless you folks want one. If there is a Google Group, I'd love to hear about it so I can add it to the web site. ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: RootsWeb Administration <[email protected]>To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>Sent: Tuesday, January 7, 2020, 11:36:15 AM CSTSubject: [ROOT-LO-ANNOUN] RootsWeb Mailing Lists Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails.  Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state. Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb. As an alternative to RootsWeb Mailing Lists, Ancestry message boards are a great option to network with others in the genealogy community. Message boards are available for free with an Ancestry registered account. Thank you for being part of the RootsWeb family and contributing to this community. 1. [NMLINCOL] Valuable genealogy and history project underway
    2. KABAR1194 via
    3. A Huge project is underway for NM researchers and Historians. To be completed in 2016 is a project regarding 1907 era bibliographies and county histories. First visit this link http://nmahgp.genealogyvillage.com/new_mexico_counties_1907.html for county histories. Then visit this link for bibliographies: http://nmahgp.genealogyvillage.com/new_mexico_county_biographies.html This is a huge project requiring many hundreds of volunteer hours. See if your ancestor is listed. Check back later as the project progresses. My hear-felt thanks to the volunteers of AHGP. Please tell your friends. Charles B.

    3. That's great ! But if it is such a dynamic team why have most volunteers departed? Maybe its how they were treated. The 1940 Census is the most recent one available to the public. I looked for him in a 1940 Census in Ancestry and FamilySearch but didn't find him. He could be still alive. You might find info about him in City Directories. There is a volunteer who has access to most city/county directories. You'll find his/her contact info at www.gengathering.com.
