    3. The idea sounds good, but I don't have time to do it. Perhaps if I delete all queries that are older than one year old it would be manageable. The idea of inviting people to include a mailing address is a good one. Some are hesitant to post their mailing address on the Internet, though. The invalid e-mail addresses have made me consider linking to the free Ancestry.com message boards and discontinuing doing live queries altogether. If someone writes to tell me an e-mail link doesn't work, I remove the query. The above is my opinion; below is the reason if you want to read it. I have considered placing on my Query instructions that the researcher should also include a snail mail mailing address, One out of a three hundred do any way. This would leave an address for those who think it is important for people to contact them. (If you have searched at the state archives libraries you will remember that there are register books of people who was searching for their lines many years ago. I share this from my experience with Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas state libraries. You could write to some of those people and get lucky. I did.) Some people on the internet change their servers like they change their underwear and they think nothing of it. I can not think how checking your query list would work for the people who are using the Rootsweb automatic query systems. I post all Queries by hand and have had some people who have changed e-mail servers contact me and ask me to update their addresses on their queries. I do this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harold Kilmer, Coordinator for Curry, De Baca, Guadalupe, Lea, Quay and Roosevelt Counties in the great state of New Mexico.
