Hello NM Wild bunch: This is out of the question for me to do. The above is my opinion; below is the reason if you want to read it. I have considered placing on my Query instructions that the researcher should also include a snail mail mailing address, One out of a three hundred do any way. This would leave an address for those who think it is important for people to contact them. (If you have searched at the state archives libraries you will remember that there are register books of people who was searching for their lines many years ago. I share this from my experience with Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas state libraries. You could write to some of those people and get lucky. I did.) Some people on the internet change their servers like they change their underwear and they think nothing of it. I can not think how checking your query list would work for the people who are using the Rootsweb automatic query systems. I post all Queries by hand and have had some people who have changed e-mail servers contact me and ask me to update their addresses on their queries. I do this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harold Kilmer, Coordinator for Curry, De Baca, Guadalupe, Lea, Quay and Roosevelt Counties in the great state of New Mexico. Hi everyone -- Since this past weekend, I've been sending out about 10 emails a night. Yes, they're time consuming but I want to get it done. I've got all the surname listing emails sent out (for Bernalillo), and a good portion of them have already rejected. Now I'll be starting on the queries that are posted on the site. I guess it's because I'm one of those that does lookups for others all the time...I'm listed on genealogy sites all over the place. There's been many times that I've done the same thing as this Pat....prepared a response only to have it come back to me. Arrrgggghhh. When I first started co-hosting San Miguel county with Susan, one of the first things i did was send a quick "form letter" email to every query listed -- five pages -- and ended up with about 20 and of those I was able to "close" out almost half of them with the records I have at home. So that's what I'll be doing next with Bernalillo county. However, I am single and it's just me and my dog, and I don't have half the responsibilities that many of you have so I'm able to do this. You're right Harold about the underwear comment! Angela
