She was almost 84 years of age. Rosalie was born in Colorado City, TX to William Henderson & Mollie Emaline Franklin. She was the second of four children. As a young woman, she lived in Colorado City, TX, San Francisco, CA, Berkeley, CA, Abilene, TX & Las Cruces, NM. She was employed at White Sands Missile Range, NM in accounting for 37 years. A dedicated worker with multiple commendations, she retired from White Sands in 1998. After retirement, Rosalie moved to Texas and lived in Round Rock & Austin. In Austin, she resided in Merrill Gardens at Parmer Woods Assisted Living until the end of 2009 when she moved to Hearthstone Health Center in Round Rock. She was a devoted mother and dearly loved her family. She also was a lady of many talents: sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, embroidering, gardening and making desserts (including the best f! udge & "from-scratch" pie crust for her excellent pecan & apple pies). She had a quick wit and loved to play dominos and work puzzles. And as one acquaintance observed, "She was gifted with a penetrating intellect." Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, by John Benjamin Franklin (her one-month-old brother), by William Troy Franklin (her older brother), by Elmer Carsrud (her husband) and by Stanley Sroczyk (her former husband). She is survived by her daughter Sharon Myers of Round Rock, her grandchildren Michael Myers and Tabitha Millikan, her 5 great-grandchildren, her sister Billye Green and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosalie's family would like to gratefully recognize the excellent, dedicated care given her by the staffs of Parmer Woods, Hearthstone and Odyssey Health Care (hospice). "A Time of Remembrance" for Rosalie, was held February 19, 2011 in Round Rock, Texas. A memorial fund has been established in her name at Round Rock Christian Academy (301 North Lake Creek Drive, Round Rock, Texas 78681).
