Reyes passed away peacefully on March 12, 2011. Born on December 20, 1925 in Carlsbad, NM, Roy was a great American who served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star for valor on the battle field as well as the Purple Heart for wounds he received in the Battle of Saipan. He is survived by son Louis Reyes, daughter Rebecca Enriquez, grandchildren Charles Reyes, Michael Reyes, and Christopher Enriquez; great grandchildren Lauren Enriquez, Alyssa Enriquez; and sisters Vera Madrid and Jane Hernandez. Services are with Baca Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:00 am.
