Born Evelyn Helene to Louise and Bill Biebel on April 27, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT, she had one older sister, who preceded her in death -- Katherine Biebel Broatch. Evie met and married Bill Angell and settled in Fairfield, Ct. where they raised four children. Their lakeside home was the gathering place for friends and family for many years. In 2001, they moved to Las Cruces, NM and settled in Trails West where they made many new friends. Loving husband Bill died in 2004. Evie was a woman of great faith whose strength was an inspiration to many. She was an advocate and care giver to the unfortunate, forgotten, and those in pain. Throughout her full and vibrant life, she shared her love of fashion and the arts, nature, and family with others. Her actions and words expressed her deep values: consideration for the Earth and all of God's children and creatures. Her spirit will be carried in the hearts of many who knew her, including sons, David, Tom, and Curt; daughter Pamela; daughters-in-law Rebecca and Mary Lou; grandsons Cory and Max; granddaughters, Katelyn, Kerri and Kylie; nieces and nephews Bob, Jim, Jack, Kathy, Rachel and their families; and many new and lifelong friends in various parts of the country. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, PO Box 6875, Las Cruces, NM 88005. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Sat. April 16th at Peace Lutheran Church, 1701 Missouri Ave., Las Cruces. A Celebration of her Life will take place at 5:30 pm on Sun. April 17th at Trails West Community Center, 1450 Avenida de Mesilla.
