She was born February 21, 1919 in San Lorenzo, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Mauricio and Mariana Sapata, her only son Rudy Triviso, her siblings: Jenny (Juana) Salas, Josie (Josepha) Soliz, Julia Rivera, Robert Orosco, Ray Orosco and Ernest Altamirano. She is survived by her sister Adela Arellano of Tucson, AZ, her granddaughter Mariana Triviso and her great-grandson Jacob. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Vita lived in southern California most of her life, where she owned and operated a dry-cleaning and laundry business before retiring in Silver City. Visitation will begin at 5 o'clock in the evening on Monday, March 22, 2011 at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The prayer vigil and rosary will follow at 6 o'clock led by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, March 23, 2011 at St. Francis Newman Center with Fr. Mike Williams officiating.
