Don was born April 26, 1949 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to David and Marcella Montoya Sandoval. He enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. He loved the outdoors and was a carpenter by trade. Survivors include his wife: Preciliana Sandoval of Mesilla; children Lori Muñoz of Las Cruces, Donald Sandoval, Jr. of Mesilla, Sherri Sandoval of Fort Collins, CO, Rebecca Evenson and Theresa McIntosh both of Cheyenne, WY, siblings Richard Sandoval (Deb) of Nebraska and Anthony Sandoval (Lola) of California, Rose Marie Suletski also of California, Rose Lee Johnson of Iowa and Veronica Sandoval of Albuquerque. Other survivors include seven grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. At Don's request cremation will take place and a Celebrate of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 14, 2011 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road Las Cruces. The Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Sunset Crematory, 527-2222.
